Privacy.
This is a personal portfolio. It does not sell anything, track you across sites or build a profile of you. Here is everything it touches.
The contact form
If you write through the form, your name, email address and message are sent to me, Alex Klatt, by email (my inbox is hosted by Google Workspace) so I can reply. They are not added to a mailing list, shared or sold. To ask me to delete a conversation, email alex@thisisklatt.com.
Spam protection
To stop spam, the server keeps a short-lived note of how many messages came from your connection, filed under a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address. Notes are deleted once they are an hour old, the next time the form is used.
Cookies and your browser
This site sets no cookies. Your browser remembers two small things on your own device:
- whether you pressed Pause motion (until you change it), and
- whether you have already seen the opening animation in this visit, so it plays a shorter version next time (cleared when you close the tab).
Outside services
Everything on this site, including its fonts and code, is served from its own host, Hostinger, which keeps standard server logs. No other company is contacted when you load a page.
The project links open other websites, which have their own privacy policies.
